Check-in is from 4pm, and guests may arrive at any time up to 11pm. Please contact us in advance if you need to arrive outside this window. Check-out is by 10am. Early check-in from 2pm and late check-out at 12pm can be booked for £25 each.
Each dome sleeps up to four guests across two king-size beds. The second bed sits on a suspended mezzanine above the lower bed, kitchen and dressing area. If you are a group of five, a fifth guest may stay at no extra charge, but you will need to bring a single camp bed and suitable bedding. To book for five guests, select four guests when booking online and note that a fifth guest will be attending in the booking notes.
Each dome includes a microwave, toaster, kettle and Nespresso machine. There is also a gas BBQ on the terrace with a lid, built-in thermometer and a full set of utensils. Four sets of cutlery, crockery and glassware are included. We also provide a chopping board, bottle opener and cocktail shaker. For safety reasons, sharp knives are not provided, so please bring your own if you plan to cook from scratch. Pots and pans are also not supplied.
Gas for the BBQ is included throughout your stay. The gas bottle is pre-installed, and each BBQ has an electric igniter. A spare bottle is also stored at each dome.
Each dome has a modern twin wall insulated log burner which is used as the primary heat source. On arrival, the burner will be prepared with wood ready for you to light. We also have a handy instruction video here. We use eco-friendly sawdust logs and provide around twice the average amount needed for each night of your stay. Each dome also includes an electric heater that can be used to take the chill off overnight. The bathrooms have infrared heating, and blankets and hot-water bottles are also provided inside each dome.
No. We provide around twice the average amount of wood needed for each night of your stay. If you stay longer than three nights, we can top this up. Additional wood, firelighters and matches are available to purchase if required.
We light the fires of all our hot tubs during the cleaning turnaround, around one to two hours before the standard check-in time. Because the hot tubs are wood-fired, you may need to adjust the temperature on arrival by adding more wood or allowing the water to cool. Full instructions are provided. If the water is too hot, use the cold tap and drain some water to reach your preferred temperature.
In the height of summer, the UK can occasionally experience periods of exceptionally hot weather. Our domes are fully insulated, which means that for most of the summer they remain noticeably cooler than the outside temperature. However, during prolonged periods of extreme heat (typically above 30°C), the insulation can also retain warmth, causing the domes to stay warm until the outside temperature begins to cool in the late afternoon or evening.
To help keep your dome as comfortable as possible, each one is equipped with both an electric ventilation fan and a tower fan to keep the air circulating. On particularly hot days, our team will also close the curtains before your arrival to reduce solar heat gain and prepare the dome as comfortably as possible for your stay.
If you prefer to relax outdoors, each dome is surrounded by plenty of natural shade, providing a cooler place to unwind during the hottest part of the day. The hot tubs are also covered to help keep them comfortable and, when not heated, can be enjoyed as refreshing cold plunge pools, perfect for cooling off on a warm summer's day.
The domes sleep up to 4 people across 2 king size beds. The second bed is located in the mezzanine above the kitchen and changing area, accessible by a ladder. If you are a family of 5 and wish for a 5th person to stay we are happy for you to bring a camp bed for the 5th person at no extra charge. We do not supply a camp bed or single-size bedding. Please note there is only room for a single size bed in the dome which can be placed behind the kitchen and changing area.
Each dome is designed for couples and families. Inside, there is a large beanbag and footstool, plus a two-seat dining table. Outside, there is a table with seating for four and a parasol, along with two lounge chairs and a drinks table. The hot-tub storage cupboards can also be used as occasional seating.
Each dome includes one parking space. An overflow car park with space for up to 40 vehicles, including motorhomes, is also available.
The nearest rapid charger is at the Esso garage in Edenbridge, around eight minutes away by car. Another charging point is available in the Market Square car park.
Vegan-friendly biscuits and a milk alternative are provided as standard. Decaffeinated coffee can be selected as a free option during checkout.
Luna Domes is fully self-catering and does not currently have an onsite restaurant. Food boxes can be ordered during booking or through your client portal and delivered to your dome before arrival. There are also several pubs and restaurants nearby, including The Rock Pub, around a 20-minute walk away. Delivery availability may vary seasonally.
The closest station is Cowden, approximately 1.6 miles away by road. The journey takes around four minutes by car or 33 minutes on foot. Please be aware that the roads are narrow and carry regular traffic. If you have more time, you can also walk cross-country using the local footpaths.
We recommend Country Hire & Go or Ashurst Private Taxis hire. Please book well in advance of your stay, as local availability can be limited.
